Rio Gallegos Argentina

The Buenos Aires Argentina Temple has one of the largest temple districts in the world stretching south 2600 km (1615 miles) all the way down to the Rio Gallegos District at the southern tip of Argentina. The saints in Rio Gallegos are 36 hours one way, or in other words 3 days round trip, from The House of The Lord. Due to the economic circumstances in the area, temple attendance is virtually impossible for many of the saints there.

Sweetwater Rescue has been working with the faithful saints of Rio Gallegos to provide logistical and financial support to help get as many faithful Latter Day Saints to the Buenos Aires Temple as possible this year!

Our goal is to provide transportation to the temple for 100 saints who have either never been to the temple before or haven’t been in decades.

The cost for one person to go to the temple is roughly $450. Through many generous donations, we have raised enough to send several saints to Buenos Aires, but we still need your help to get all 100 people to the temple!

We are so excited that the saints of Rio Gallegos have invited us into lives. The members in the area have fasted, prayed, and prepared themselves to take part in the essential covenants that can only be entered into in the temple. We look forward to reaching our goal, with your help, to send these saints to The House of The Lord.
